Transparent silicone threads
Variable dimensions
Museum of Visual Art
Santiago / Chile
2008
The project consisted in the construction of an arch inside at the Museum of Visual Art, using the division of space and the accumulation of transparent silicone threads in an incline ascending form. The art work was conceived in relation to a concrete place by magnifying, through geometry, some immaterial qualities of an particular space to the point of making invisible the exhibited work.
Ellipse / Suspended Geometry, proposes the opposite to Architecture in its location. It builds a close ellipse from the addition of different fixed points. The hidden Geometry hides evidence in the space. Not only the character of transformation in the work itself but also includes the absence of the place.
